Even though, South Dakota’s state animal is the coyote, but I feel that the bison deserves this honor. As it has the greatest effect on the people of South Dakota. Therefore, we find that these people have inherited the harshness, warmth, and the spirit of protection from this powerful animal. To start with, these people can endure the freezing weather in South Dakota’s harsh winter, proving how they can handle any curve ball thrown on them. Secondly, even though they are harsh, but they have this harshness which makes them bond, not only together, but they bond with their land and hometown so wherever they go they make sure to go back to their hometown. Thirdly, unlike the bisons which have huge bodies, people of South Dakota have huge and warm hearts, which makes everyone love them. Just like how a bison defends its own kids, these people love to protect whom they love, as they are ready to go to the end of the world for their friends and family. That’s why I can proudly announce that I was able to inherit a bit of the bison’s spirit during my visit, making me stronger and more productive than ever. Finally, whether I have the bison’s spirit or the pharaoh’s spirit, I must admit people are the same everywhere; there is the bad and the good, the poor and the rich, the optimist and the pessimist.
