The Big read competition experience:
• It’s my pleasure to talk about my wonderful experience that I have gained in the Big read competition. An experience that has really changed my life and developed me on the personal and educational levels.
• At the begging, I participated in the competition where my team mates and exerted hard efforts in order to make a significant research and unique presentation. Therefore, we won the first place in the competition and this was a really satisfactory achievement for us all. Then with god’s will, I succeeded in the interview and had the chance to go to America with 7 other students from different schools. Thus I’ve got the chance to see things that I have never seen, get involved in a different community, meet new people, and experience new cultures. My concept was “Learning is earning” so if I want to learn life, I need to earn experience, knowledge and information. I am now going to talk about the trip in details.
• On the first day: we arrived about eight o’clock in the evening and met the hosting families.
• In the second day, we started our program by having a tour with this family in the University of South Dakota and the Museum of Art and MCcrory Gardens where there were gorgeous gardens and plants. Afterwards, we attended an interesting American football game between the University of South Dakota and Southern union.
• The day after, we went to Harmony Hills. Those hills are Characterized by gently rolling and thriving green landscapes .the harbors have a variety of wildlife habitat, including 12 rich wetlands and thousands of trees. Later, we went to the Buffalo Ranch .
• Then we Traveled to Rapid City where we went on a tour to the gorny museum, to brary edge and mountain Rushmore which is aamemorial to this country’s birth, growth and ideals. Mount Rushmore symbolizes the greatness of this nation through the greatness of it leaders. The impressive sculpture of Mount Rushmore portrays the faces of four exalted American presidents that symbolize this nation’s rich history, rugged determination and lasting achievements.
• We then went to see the crazy horse which is located in an area called the black hills.
• Native American leaders chose Crazy Horse for the mountain carving because he was a great and patriotic hero. Crazy Horse’s tenacity of purpose, his modest life, his unfailing courage, and his tragic death set him apart and above the others. The last place we went to in rapid city was red cloud Indian school,
After rapid city , we returned to Sioux falls.
• In Sioux Falls we made made some presentations about Farouk el baz’s book; we then attended book festival and attended a conversation with Dave and Valentino Achak Adgerz.
We also met the famous Dave Adgerz .
In addition to that, we had the chance to go to Rozlfelt secondary school and to go to Washington School.

• Moreover, We went to the center of the new hospital Alcansr Avira Mkaynlun .
It was also important that we attended a conversation for America and the Islamic world.
At last, we had a farewell breakfast and then board the plane.

To sum up, my opinion is that the program was really full, including educational and entertainment activities. So despite the short time that we have spent in each one, and the ones that were more interesting than the others, I definitely gained a beneficial experience from each place.
This is the best trip that I’ve ever went to, and its sweet memories are unforgettable. Thank you for giving me the chance to go to this trip.
