First of all I want to express my experience by writing this article … In fact it was a useful, fun and wonderful. We arrived in SD on the17th of sept. And w took a drive to Brookings we stayed there for 2 days 3 nights the 1st day we went and saw the calm city with our host families the 2nd day we went to the ranch with the entire group to eat dinner with an amazing family it was a wonderful night dancing… Then we had a little chat at the SDHC with all our host families. The next day we took a 12 hour drive to Rapid City this trip was really fun we stopped on every landscape to see it we stopped at 1880 towen was a dream I felt I am a cow boy !!! We went to the adorable badlands. Rapid City here we come we arrived at night and met our 2nd host family and the 2nd day we went to the journey museum and the great Mt.Rushmore ending with the lighting ceremony the 2nd day we went to Crazy Horse… Before we leave we went to see the Red Cloud school it is a native American school they were so friendly we kept talking about Egypt as we find that they know nothing about modern Egypt then we went back to Sioux Falls the city we stayed 3 nights at Holiday In hotel to attend the festival of books our presentation was remarkable.. People were amazed buy what we’ve done then we attended lots of events what is the what ‘Dave Eggers’ a meeting with ‘Dan O’Brien ‘ etc… Till the end of the festival but the remaining days was the best ever we went to schools and taught them about Egypt they didn’t know any thing about what Egypt is. And they saw the movie of modern Egypt which I made it for the Rotary meeting… The best thing about it was that we teenagers communicated mentally about any thing politics, cultures and even relationships.
The last few days we attended a conference about Islam with Dr. Leach and Dr. Ahrar .. Before our way back home
Before the end I want to thank my school, the E-ERA, Dr. Hossam Fahmy and Ms. Menna El Sayed for this chance
and also I want to add that the best thing about the trip was that I saw in there eyes a desire of knowledge they want to know about us the way our hosts was as our families the way how people treated us with a lovely smile maybe or probably I won’t see them again but their treatment made then deep inside in my heart..
