United Nations consultative status

E-ERA is granted a Special United Nations Consultative Status

The Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), at its substantive session of July 2010, adopted the recommendation of the Committee on Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), to grant special consultative status to “Egyptian Association for Educational Resources” (E-ERA). The consultative status opens the door for E-ERA to be actively engaged with the ECOSOC and its subsidiary bodies, as well as with United Nations Secretariat, programs, funds and agencies. E-ERA’s status and active participation in the work of the Council will allow E-ERA to consult with Member States and the UN system and effectively implement the provisions of the consultative relationship. E-ERA is consequently to attend, participate and engage with different events, programs, and conferences conducted by the UN, including attending the General Assembly’s sessions.

Big Read Orientation

As part of the Big Read Egypt/US Program, E-ERA organized a competition among the students, who participated in the exchange program last September to share their memorable pictures and articles about their experience in the US. Links below will illustrate students’ contributions:
