United Nations consultative status
E-ERA is granted a Special United Nations Consultative Status
The Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), at its substantive session of July 2010, adopted the recommendation of the Committee on Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), to grant special consultative status to “Egyptian Association for Educational Resources” (E-ERA). The consultative status opens the door for E-ERA to be actively engaged with the ECOSOC and its subsidiary bodies, as well as with United Nations Secretariat, programs, funds and agencies. E-ERA’s status and active participation in the work of the Council will allow E-ERA to consult with Member States and the UN system and effectively implement the provisions of the consultative relationship. E-ERA is consequently to attend, participate and engage with different events, programs, and conferences conducted by the UN, including attending the General Assembly’s sessions.
